Professional development and further education in Ethics

Our programmes

  • Are designed to cater to people;
    • with little or no prior experience in ethics
    • wanting to expand their previous ethics training
    • who need to develop expertise in an particular sub-field of ethics.
  • Are relevant to a wide range of occupations
  • Address and respond to the growing concern about workplace ethics, both within organisations and the wider community.
  • Ensure you’ll gain knowledge, skills and expertise
  • Can be tailored to your needs
  • Are presented and facilitated by highly experienced and qualified researchers and practitioners.

Workshops

These can be tailored to suit your requirements and can be half, one or two days. Topics available include:
  • Privacy and data linkage
  • Confidentiality, transparency and fairness
  • Conflicts of interest
  • Research ethics
  • Ethics and technology

We welcome requests for workshops on other topics.

Post graduate courses

We are currently building a cluster of postgraduate courses that will form the basis of a Graduate Certificate, Graduate Diploma, or Masters Program in Applied Ethics.  The core topic ‘Applied Ethics’ will be offered by the University of Adelaide, while elective courses will be taken from offerings at Adelaide, Flinders University, and the University of South Australia. These will include courses in:

  • Public Health Ethics
  • Research Ethics
  • Business Ethics
  • Journalism Ethics
  • Marketing Ethics
  • Public Sector Ethics
